Welcome to The Vue! Escape to this beautifully renovated and fully updated 1890’s farmhouse - located in the hamlet of Ameliasburgh in Prince Edward County. The Vue backs onto the Harry Smith conservation area, steps away from beautiful scenery and excellent hiking trails. Whether you are sipping wine on the deck, enjoying the hot tub (open year round) or preparing a meal for friends in the kitchen, make sure to take in the views - spectacular in any season. **Guests at our vacation rentals receive a discount on our guided wine tours and in quiet season we can also arrange a dinner shuttle to your favourite Prince Edward County eatery**

Once you have settled in, a short walk down the street will lead you to Ameliasburgh Heritage Village, and Roblin Lake Park. There you will find a baseball diamond, playground, public boat launch and a small sandy beach perfect for swimming. If wine country is what you are looking for, The Vue is a 15-minute drive from local favourites like Broken Stone Winery, Closson Chase Winery and Lacey Estates Winery. 

The main floor highlights a newly renovated kitchen fully equipped with modern amenities and a dining area with seating for 6. The stylish living space includes a working cast iron fireplace with wood provided. Cozy up with a good book next to the fire or enjoy a movie night with a smart TV that includes access to Netflix, Prime, and satellite TV.  

All 3 bedrooms can be found on the upper level, as well as a 3-piece bathroom. All bed and bath linens are provided.  

Due to Prince Edward County bylaws, this property sleeps a maximum of 6 guests plus 3 children (age 9 and under).

Guests are still expected to leave the house in a tidy state upon departure. Instructions can be found on site. Please contact the Owner prior to checkout if you have any questions or additional cleaning fees may apply.

MINIMUM STAYS

Weekends in offseason require a minimum booking of 3 nights.

High season is from late June till Labour Day and requires a 7 night minimum booking - Saturday changeover.

An amazing and lovely spot to put your cares aside - with beautiful views off the porch onto a stunning conservation area and lovely pond, all the modern amenities inside beautifully designed and assembled while maintaining the charm of a historic farmhouse. Close drive to wellington and the great wineries and sights. very responsive hosts. a terrific choice - we'll be back with family & friends for sure!

We had a wonderful stay! The home is in a quiet neighbourhood and very centrally located. It is beautifully renovated and decorated, the home is spacious and has all the amenities you need - a fully stocked kitchen, lots of towels, very comfortable beds. We didn't use the outdoor space much because we had a toddler with us and I wouldn't say it's an ideal outdoor space for young children. But it would be amazing for an adult getaway! Another thing I would note for anyone travelling with napping / early-to-bed children is that the stairs and floors upstairs are very creaky and the bedroom doors stick and are quite loud when you open them. This would be a challenge if your child is a light sleeper or if you plan to share a room with them.

This was our second visit to this property and it was yet again magnificent. Loved the added touch of the bathrobes. The home was extremely clean, had all the amenities, well situated and the view from the back deck incredible. We visited Sandbanks winery and the Old Mill Alpacas farm on this trip. We will definitely be back again. Thank you for another memorable experience.

This airbnb is amazing. One of the best stays I have had in a while. It is out in the country enough to be able to relax while still very close to shops and stores. We were 6 girls for a weekend getaway and we couldn't of asked for a better place to stay. very comfortable and they have everything you need there! All around great weekend!!! Thanks for everything!

This property was an absolute gem! Upon arrival it was so clean, you would think we were the first family to stay here. Inside this beautiful home which was originally a farmhouse built in 1890, we found it to be very spacious and extremely comfortable. All 3 bedrooms were all a good size and all 6 of us ( adults) slept extremely well. The beautiful kitchen had direct access to the large back deck which had the most breathtaking view The scenery was spectacular, anytime of the day. The hot tub on the other side of the house was perfect to relax and gaze up in the sky full of stars. We used the fire pit twice, late at night and really enjoyed it. We had an issue with our coffee maker and when we called in Brittney was extremely polite and helpful and assured us that it would be resolved quickly. Within 2 hours Angela showed up with a brand new Keurig coffee maker and had it set up in no time. Excellent customer service!! This amazing property was located within a 10 minute walk to Roblin Lake, 15 minute drive to Wellington Beach, 30 minutes to Sand Banks and within 15 minutes of the grocery store, LCBO and Tims!! This property and setting was simply amazing, extremely peaceful, quiet and totally relaxing! We highly recommend this property and we definitely plan to come back next year! Thanks for making our family vacation so enjoyable and relaxing

Fantastic place. We went with two young kids and it was not difficult to baby-proof. Playground and lake about 5-10 min walk. Beautifully decorated, well equipped, comfortable. Nice fire pit with wood, deck, and yard/play area. Can basically leave with just clothes and when you arrive it feels like home. The view from the back is gorgeous, the street nice and quiet. The place is nicer than the pictures. Would definitely return in a heartbeat.

We stayed at The Vue for the full month of July - after our plans for a cross-Canada road trip were thwarted by the pandemic and forest fires. Things couldnt have worked out better. The home was perfect for our family of four, plus grandma. The location was excellent - within easy driving distance of key locations in The County but also removed enough to allow for maximum relaxation. Our family loves to bike and we took advantage of the quiet country roads around Ameliasburg, biking to wineries, Campbells Orchards, Demorestville and North Beach. A benefit that isnt played up enough in the description is that Roblin Lake is right across the street where you can enjoy a lake and swim away from the crowds at the Provincial Parks.

Due to Covid-19 cleaning measures and for the safety of our guests and staff, different check-in/out times are strictly non-negotiable. Access to the cottage to drop off belongings or to get the beach pass cannot be granted, no exceptions. A fee of $200 will apply for those who arrive early or depart late.
